GIRLFRIENDS!!

(above are a few fun picks if you do not appear in any of these photo's I still love you it just seems I haven't taken many pictures of myself or friends since I was married and especially since I had kids another reason we should have more girls nights!)
I just had a girls night last night with a couple of my greatest and most dear friends (love you girls). I have to say that these nights unfortunately are too rare. All of our lives our so hectic consumed by the daily tasks of husbands, children, church, work, etc. and we love it don't get me wrong. But it seems and maybe this is just me but having a moment away from all that truly gives me air! there is therapy in being able to talk to your girl friends and realize that everyone to some degree shares your same frustrations, worries, Joys and sorrows. I think that I start thinking that I am the only one who had to call poison control because my 2 year old ate laundry detergent or after telling them 12 times they can't have any treats until they finish their lunch, coming back from feeding the baby only to find them hiding behind the couch with a face full of guilt and chocolate. do I dare say there are nights I go to bed wondering how I got myself into this mess:) First of all I am absolutely inspired and joyed by my husband and family. But as I am watching younger siblings get married and engaged and the fact that I will be thirty in a mere 8 days I can't help but reflect on the idealistic world we lived in when we were first in love. I would never give those days back that is for sure. (ignorance is bliss right?) But as much as I love my life it has not gone as smooth as I had imagined it to back when we were engaged. (maybe that is just my perspective). I believe we truly spend our lives reevaluating our success' and failures in an attempt to make a successful marriage and family and those moments we can still away to share our experiences with one another in an attempt to make each of our lives a little easier and enjoyable is truly a treasure. So THANK YOU all! I hope this hasn't sounded negative that is not my attempt but instead to tell you all that we need our girl friends they put life in perspective and lets face it we could use that as often as possible. So to all of you I see only a couple times a year, to all of you I see every month or so and to all of you that I see or talk to daily. (I truly cherish those times and wish they were more often.) Thank you for your Friendship and love it truly makes a big difference in my life. my advice MAKE TIME FOR GIRLS NIGHTS
