Easter 2009

This is a random blog of our Easter I started a month ago and have added different events at different times and there for it is so out of order I am not going to take the time to organize it all so they all happened within a week of each other and I am calling it good.

The Dyeing of the Eggs the kids really are getting big enough that they just have at it. they did a great job with the exception of one spilt dye by my Gavin. We put Ella to bed I just wasn't going to go there especially since Grin was at work and I had to help Gavin (I didn't do so well did I?). Jaxon was the last to finished (this included aunts and cousin's)he sat there being so meticulous I couldn't believe it he never does that usually it is in out scribble, dunk, on to something else.

Jaxon all on his own working on his eggs

The Easter outfits. I love this part! I was so excited about Ella's dress I just couldn't wait and she couldn't either every time she saw it in the closet she said "dress, dress" and wanted to wear it. I didn't really do to good on the pictures before church it was too late and after Ella was tired and so she went down for a nap so we didn't get any of all of us together and after her nap she didn't cooperate at all but here they are and I did get one of the dress anyway so so so cut!

The Boys
The Girls

Easter morning the kids and their baskets. We stayed at Gma and Gpa Hones house the Easter bunny comes there and we spent the day playing with cousin's and going to church the kids had a blast finding eggs and of course eating there candy Ella wouldn't put hers down and pretty much had it all eaten before breakfast I know great mom hu? But I figure it is one day a year right.

The whole cousin gang minus the Holmes group who hadn't arrived yet!

On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt at the Presbyterian church in our city it was a great egg hunt they also had prizes for all the kids and did a light lunch I was very impressed the kids had a blast looking for eggs and emptying them out afterwards they had us empty them after and put the eggs in boxes for next year a genius idea I thought I never know what to do with all those eggs they usually get thrown away. We joined several friends from the ward and had a great time.

My good friends and Neighbors all these little ones are all within a month of each other so fun!

We started out the Easter season making Sugar cookies to take to Grandma Pearce's the weekend before Easter. The kids really got into it and did an awesome job. Gavin was more interested in eating the dough and about half way through his mound he said "I am done" and I said what about all of that dough" he said "I am going to save that to eat later." I am just glad he didn't get a tummy ache.

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Pearce's house the weekend before Easter and had a blast with our cousin's finding eggs, making nests and frosting cookies we just love it when our cousins are there they live in Wyoming so we don't see them too often. I will add pictures if I can ever figure out how to get them off of Grin's phone we forgot the camera.
So that is Easter in a nut shell!

Loosing a little more of my space?

So I moved Ella's Kitchen up into the already too small family room. She loves to play in it but neither Gavin or Ella seem ready to spend the day in the basement playing while mom is up stairs and I cannot spend all day in the basement so I moved things around and fit it in. Hopefully in the not so far future things will change and I can move it back down stairs but right not even though it throws off my "space" I really like the upstairs toys to have good hiding places selfish I know I can't help it. It just isn't as important as the fun this little girl and her brother for that matter have playing in "their" kitchen and in this Kitchen dressing for dinner is optional.

Relief Society Birthday!

So at our relief Society Birthday party this year they had people sign up to decorate tables. I didn't sign up at first I feel that there are probably others who would like to express themselves and they are tired of me. But in the end they needed another Table so I teamed with another designer in the ward and we did the first table above. Laneel had some plates with butterflies on them and since the whole theme of the party was something like "In life there are always storms the trick to learn to dance in the rain" we thought that this was appropriate. I am usually a little nervouse when two designers especially two that have very different thought about design, work together but it turned out pretty fun. I did the center piece and she did the place settings so so fun. I also added some of the other tables it was so much fun to see everyone's personalities come through and the variety was awesome!

Why get dressed why not just wear lotion!

This along with all the posts I will be posting tonight is old this happened about the 14th of March but I need to get caught up and get these in so it is easier when I go to scrap book this year so sorry for the large number old posts. I leave her alone long enought to go get her comb or a onzie or something but I left the cetaphil cream bottle open. she decides its lotion time and of course this is the $12 dollar a bottle lotion that is only meant for the exema spots at $12 bucks a pop her legs are worth about 5 bucks right there.

where did march go?

So March came and went and I haven't even been on this computer. After we got back from Hawaii I got this itch to freshen up my house maybe it is because of the fun pics that I want to put up or the beauty of Hawaii but I have been obsessing over it ever since and have found no time to do my regular work ,like blogging and the basic cleaning instead I have been fixing nicks and dings in the walls and painting the main color of my house a happy creamy butter yellow. It has been a bit of a trial but I am getting there and loving it. I will post pics if I can ever get it done. I am going to try and do catch up on the last month but for now I am starting from here it is way to overwhelming for me to go back that far. So look for the Pearce family happenings hopefully to be coming soon but for now check out my poll on the right hand side and pick a pineapple.

(P.S. please feel free to give me details on your choice of pictures to I am really intrigued by how you will respond)
