Grinner had to work so we hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Hone for Pioneer days. They were having different activities at Antelope Island I have never been out there so off we went to check things out. the kids had a ball Gavin mostly because there were Horses we could hardly drag him away. We made candles by dipping string in wax. Grandpa got if figured out pretty quick (he has had practice he did it as a child:) anyway it took a while and you really had to wait for the wax to cool before you dipped it again. There was a guy there that just didn't get it. My dad kept saying to mom but loud enough for him to hear "you have to let it cool good before you dip it again." This man kept putting the string in the wax and waiting forever before pulling it out and saying this just isn't working as he jabbed the string back in to wait longer. I guess he figured if he left it in long enough he would pull out a beautiful candle. It was quite humorous. On the way out we saw tons of buffalo and antelope and had a ball watching them through the telephoto lenses.
