Kennedy 2 weeks old

WOW!! I can't believe we are over two weeks old now. Things have been typical in these two weeks no sleep and LOTS of diapers. We were actually doing pretty good with our sleeping habits for the first week or so and then she changed her mind and the last few days I think that I am up about every hour and a half and it takes about an hour to get her back to sleep YIKES! I keep telling myself that it will go by too fast and I will wish she was still little but can't we be little and sleep at night, is that so much to ask:) But despite the sleep deprivation I am having a ball. Not a lot gets done around here but sitting and watching her beautiful face. I just don't want this to go by so fast. We definitely find ourselves thinking "this will be the last time we do this" and in someways it makes me feel sad but not enough to change my mind and think about having another one. So we will just will her to grow slowly and it just might be working her umbilical cord just came off on the 24th 2 weeks old I am pretty sure all the other kids were off around 1 week.

The kids are doing great and are pretty helpful. However I am hating this winter baby thing I am so glad this is the only one I had in the winter. I don't dare let the kids to close to often with there runny noses and Ella had a 24 hour flu thing already and I am freaking out that she will get sick. My friend is on the way to the hospital today with her baby they think he might have mendengitis (sp?) he is only about 3 weeks older than Kennedy so so scary. So we don't go ANYWHERE and I am a little stir crazy, when you have summer baby's you can at least go for a walk or sit on the back porch in the swing. So consequently we are REALLY looking forward to the spring and warm days that we could get outside.

Glad you are doing well despite the lack of sleep. I am hearing you on the winter baby thing. Owen is our only winter baby and I think the spring was the best time to have one. Do enjoy her, because it goes by fast and Owen is our last and it has just flown by. She sure is a cutie. Congratulations.

She is so cute! I love the head band and all the cute girly stuff! I hear you on the all nighters...I had forgotten how much time it takes to get them back to sleep...it's exhausting, but oh so fun! Hope she gets better at her sleeping schedule!

She looks like a Pearce! What a doll. Keep enjoying; I look at Logan now and wonder, "did I blink?"

Kristie - She is so adorable! We are getting ready for ours to get here and reading your post made me excited. There is something so sweet about newborns. Good luck with everything!
